Dr Frances Wright completed a BSc Honours Industrial Technology and Operations Management (cum laude), a Diploma in Operations Management (cum laude) and a Certificate in Production Management (cum laude) from the Production Management Institute. She was honoured as the institute’s “Top Student” for three consecutive years. Dr Wright also completed an MBA at North-West University in 2007, where she was also honoured as the top Operations student. She has a PhD in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship from North-West University and acts as a business mentor and trainer for Business Partners. Dr Wright was also the consultant on the eTV reality TV show “It’s my Biz” where she worked with various entrepreneurs to assist in achieving business success. Dr Wright has written many published articles, is an accomplished speaker and lecturers in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Operations and Marketing at various organisations while still consulting in the manufacturing industry.

A business is compiled of three divisions; marketing management, operations and finance. Operations produce the product through transforming inputs into outputs that can be sold at a profit that is the source of all funds into a business. Finance has the responsibility to manage such funds and to ensure profitability. This entire engine of business cannot be sustained without marketing communicating with potential customers about the benefits of the product or service, driving buying decisions towards the product. Marketing has to be done efficiently and effectively at minimum cost, but still introducing the product to the customer with the promise of delivering according to customer requirements. In order to develop a marketing strategy and the marketing plan, marketing managers must understand the science of marketing management. During this course, potential marketing managers learn to develop and implement an efficient marketing campaign resulting in an increase in sales and net profit.
