This course will provide parents with the information and skills necessary to understand and use online learning tools and platforms essential to remote-learning. They will be able to design a working timetable and implement structured learning in a safe, clear workspace. Parents will be able to experiment with resources beyond those provided by their schools and integrate these into their learning plans.

Subject Matter Expert

Dene Le Roux is a Master’s candidate in Social Anthropology with a keen research interest in the intersections between education, mental health and trauma. Le Roux has applied her research interest to practical use by establishing a small business catered towards academic support and tutorage. She has engaged with parents and their children from all walks of life providing them with guidance on how to assist their children with their educational endeavours. She aims to provide parents with frameworks that promote critical thinking skills applied across all subjects.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this online short learning programme, you will receive the recognition of your knowledge and skills with a Damelin Certificate of Competence. Your certificate of competence will be issued in your registered name and will be couriered at no additional cost.

You will be required to complete a series of assessments that will be facilitated through our virtual learning environment. Your course handbook will be made available to you once you have commenced with your short learning programme.
