Business logistics and the management of the logistics management function area are critical skills that are needed by all organisations, whether they be in the manufacturing or services sectors. Dr Myles Wakeham is an academic and businessman with many years of industry experience. He holds an MBA and PhD, and has taught extensively in the fields of supply chain management, operations, marketing and business.
Dr Wakeham was instrumental in introducing and adopting the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply at CPUT as a series of qualifications.
He has consulted to a variety of institutions and organisations, particularly the South African National Treasury, as well as National, Provincial and Local Government. He is also involved in international research, and with an academic consortium has researched the impact of IT on university education.
