Negotiation is the art of reaching an agreement where all parties benefit. In order to avoid the negative outcomes of unresolved or badly resolved conflict, it is important for management to develop conflict management skills. In this way, rather than conflict being a negative occurrence, it can be harnessed to strengthen an organisation.

This course provides the essential skills needed to arrive at a win-win situation in the negotiation process. The content will broaden your understanding of conflict and its causes, as well as negotiation and negotiation principles. You will be equipped with tools and techniques to apply the negotiation process according to established terms and styles.

Subject Expert

Kevin Midgely has an MBA from Damelin Oxford Brookes (London). He has been a part-time lecturer since 1991, and has lectured for Damelin Education Group, Varsity College, Vega, Regenesys Business School, and AAA School of Advertising. Kevin also ran his own training company from 1994 to 2008.

Kevin is also the author of a self-published textbook, The Credit Controller’s Handbook, first published in 1999.

As an experienced social science researcher, she loves sharing new skills and knowledge with others, and ultimately enhancing their capabilities in handling issues that affect their line of work and personal lives.

You will be required to be familiar with using a computer as you may need to be able to read and download documents in Adobe PDF Reader, view Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and read and create documents in Microsoft Word.

Damelin Online does not provide any additional software applications required for online short learning programmes.
