Risk management is a relevant and much sought-after field. As more barriers are removed, international trade increases and the global village network continues to expand and grow, the world requires an ever-increasing risk-orientated way of thinking.

In addition, at any time, a business can be affected by unforeseen risks, such as a global pandemic. 2020 is an example, with the COVID-19 pandemic and the disruptive effect it has had on thousands of businesses worldwide.

With this shift in thinking and way of doing business, combined with the uncertain world we live in, it has become imperative that individuals working in business equip themselves with the relevant level of skills and knowledge related to risk, to ensure business continuity.

This course provides a thorough introduction to business risk. We will look at the fundamentals of enterprise risk management (ERM) and other important issues of risk management which require a thorough understanding if you are to meet stakeholders’ expectations in an ever-increasingly uncertain business environment.
